Art in Motion | Ages 10-12

Concept and Experience

In this workshop, young artists bring moving and making together through three-dimensional projects. Mobiles, automata, and chain reaction sculptures present unique challenges throughout the week. The work of Bruno Munari, Matt Smith, Rube Goldberg, and more provide inspiration. Young artists use simple materials, such as wire, cardboard, and found objects to create kinetic sculptures with intriguing results. Students work collaboratively and individually.
