From Scrap to Sculpture | Ages 7-9

Concept and Experience

This workshop introduces young artists to the art of finding new uses for old items. The work of Nick Cave, Nikki de Saint Phalle, Ann Morton, and Matt Magee provide inspiration throughout the week as students create functional and sculptural pieces out of magazines, newsprint, tin cans, cardboard, recyclables, coffee filters, and wire hangers. Students work collaboratively and individually.
