Vast Memories in Landscape
with Deborah Brooks
Tues-Thurs, Sept 1-3 | 9am-4pm
Acrylic | Levels 2 - 4
Members: $425 | Non-Members: $455
Concept
In this three-day workshop, work at a large scale to create paintings that express the depth and experience of looking across a valley, out from a mountaintop, or across an ocean or great lake. It is through our view of the horizon that we are reminded of our place on this earth. Discover how abstraction and loose application create a sense of both physical and emotional depth in the memory of a place.
Experience
Working from your own photo references, use large brushes, palette knives, pouring techniques, and more with Deborah as your guide. Demonstrations on layering, glazing, color, and other painting strategies direct the process. Leave this workshop with two completed paintings and a toolkit for making visually stunning and meaningful paintings.
Skill Level
Some prior painting experience helpful.
